Reporting on our contracts
Under the Senate Order on departmental and agency contracts (known as the Murray Motion), we must maintain an online list of all contracts valued at or above A$100,000 (GST inclusive). The list must include details of those contracts. We publish our list of contracts on AusTender's Senate Order page(Opens in a new tab/window). The list is published twice a year.
Most of our contracts have confidentiality clauses of a general nature. Confidentiality clauses protect information obtained or created while carrying out a contract.
Confidential information includes:
- the contractor's profit margin or costing information
- protection of trade secrets and proprietary information
- protection of other Commonwealth material
- personal information.
We note in the list of contracts which contracts have these clauses.
We also need to confirm that the listed contracts do not contain any inappropriate confidentiality provisions.
Our commercial contracts
In addition to our reporting obligations under the Murray Motion, we also publish contracts on AusTender that are valued at $10,000 or more including GST.
