Iron product choice and dose calculation guide for adults

The appendixes contain tables comparing intravenous iron preparations, oral preparations for treatment of iron deficiency anaemia (IDA) in Australia and further information resources.

The guide was developed by the Transfusion Practice and Education Team (the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood (Lifeblood)). The Patient Blood Management Steering Committee then reviewed it before being available for a 6-week public consultation.
