National Health Provider Inventory Level Report (INV001)

The National Health Provider Inventory Level Report (INV001) is one of a range of reports from BloodNet that the NBA makes available to relevant stakeholders in the blood sector.

The purpose of the National Health Provider Inventory Level Report is to identify both the nominated maximum inventory levels for each component and blood group as well as the available inventory for issue (also known as Stock on Hand) by health providers.

This report is used nationally as a tool for fresh blood demand management planning and forms the basis of the information on health provider inventory holdings including in the Blood Service’s National Inventory Template.

Data in the report on health provider inventory level holdings is sourced from data entered directly into BloodNet by health providers (when they are placing stock orders in BloodNet) or from data provided to BloodNet through an interface to a health providers’ laboratory information system (LIS). Data provided through an interface is included in the report in italics to differentiate it from that entered directly by health provider staff.
